RULES

(apply to produce and handicraft section only)

1.- Entries will be 10p per entry, with 20p minimum, except where otherwise stated. Children Free. Exhibitors can enter more than one exhibit, but can only take two prizes in each class. Late entries charged double. Entries in one name only.

2.- Prize money. 1st = 50p 2nd = 40p 3rd = 30p

3.- Entries must be made on the Entry Forms provided and reach the Secretary not later than 9pm on the Thursday before the show.

4.- The Showroom will be open on the morning of the Show until 10.30a.m., after which time only the Judges and Stewards appointed by the Committee will be allowed in until the Show is open.

5.- The Show will be open to the public at 2 p.m. and close at 5.30 p.m. During this time no exhibits may be removed without the consent of the Secretary. All exhibits not removed by 5.45 p.m. will be sold for Society funds. Exhibitors are invited to leave their exhibits and so benefit the Society. All such help will be greatly appreciated.

6.- The Stewards will direct the staging of all exhibits.

7.- All specimens exhibited must be the bona-fide property of and have been cultivated or otherwise produced by the exhibitor. The Committee reserves the right to inspect exhibits and to reject any exhibits whatsoever.

8.- Exhibitors must provide their own plates, etc., and all exhibits must contain the correct number of specimens. Onions and potatoes must not be altered, ordinary washing is allowed.

9.- Any exhibitor infringing Rule 6 or 7 will be disqualified in all classes.

10.- The Committee will not be responsible for damage to or loss of exhibits, but all possible care will be taken.

11.- The judges, whose decision shall, in all cases, be final, shall have power to withhold prizes if they consider exhibits unworthy.

12.- Exhibitors will receive numbered tickets which must be attached to their exhibits. Any alteration to class number or exhibitor's number will disqualify the exhibit.

13.- All entry fees must accompany the entry forms.

14.- All objections must be made in writing to the Hon. Secretary by 3 p.m. on the Show day, together with a deposit of 50p. This will be forfeited to the Society if the objection be not upheld. A Sub-Committee will be appointed to consider objections.

15.- Trophies will be presented on the evening of the show at 6.00 p.m.

16.Trophies to be returned to the Show seceratary before the following year's Show day.
